Casey Blust

Living in landlocked Guilford, Vermont, Casey Blust is first mate at the Brattleboro Hospital Cardio-Pulmonary Rehab Center. He has logged decades as an athletic trainer and coach in various sports. Casey builds boats large and larger, from “Freya”, his own Caledonia Yawl, launched on Spofford Lake NH in 2016, to the massive collectively-built schooner Arabella, dedicated at Buzzards Bay in 2022. As an experienced builder, and a sailing instructor in the waters off Brooklin—self-taught all the way! —Casey always offers good advice and extra hands to his small-boat-building neighbors; in fact, he is often the first person they call.
