This is a 3-day course, from 9:00am-3:00pm Friday-Sunday at The Landing School, Arundel, Maine.
Have you always wanted to get started in woodworking, but never been sure where to begin? This course is for you! Join Packer McBride as he goes over all the stationary tools in our mill room—the planer, jointer, table saw, band saw, drill press, and sanders. He will discuss how they work, what they are used for, and how to operate them safely and efficiently. Then you will get to put theory into practice by milling your own materials for a toolbox. You will also be introduced to reading a set of plans, creating a cut list, and accurately laying out and measuring materials. After your parts have been prepared, you will assemble your toolbox using proper gluing and mechanical fastening techniques. You will go home with your new toolbox and some new woodworking skills!
