Build Your Own Speed Pram

Build your own speed pram, a new design for the WoodenBoat School we are calling name. This new pram is unique in that it is especially designed for use by gas or electric motor making it a great replacement for a clunk RIB or an easy way to cruise sheltered waters with 2-3 people aboard. In this week-long class, groups will build their own pram from a kit put together by Chase Small Craft, known for their tradition style boats packaged in an easy-to-build kit format. All sorts of new skills will develop during the week as you learn to put together the wood parts with glues, and screws, and hand tools. You will not only take away new skills and learning, but an experience you will never forget. And along the way you’ll make new friends, be able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of our campus and most importantly leave with your own boat to take home.
