John Staub

John Staub is a family guy, boatbuilder, and certified saltwater junkie.

A prolific builder, the marine trades began Chesapeake Light Craft in Annapolis, MD. During that time, he served many roles: sales, purchasing, production manager, and finally, CEO. Whether as an instructor or builder, John has helped send well over ninety handmade boats into the world.

As the owner of Riverview Boatworks, the range of construction methods continues to expand, making world-class infused watercraft for Bold Coast Boats and high-tech parts for other brands.

When he’s not building boats, he’s fixing and using them. John’s a certified ABYC technician, an ASA-certified sailing instructor, and a delivery captain.
