This is a five-day class ending Friday.
This week will provide students with an all-inclusive review of various strokes and braces; maneuvering; techniques to handle current, wind, waves, tide and weather; rules of safety; navigation; solo and assisted rescues; long-distance paddling; and more. The course is intended for paddlers looking to expand their sea kayaking horizons, further their understanding of gear, and spend more time on the water. Nick will bring a selection of his high-performance kayak designs to paddle and learn from, but students are encouraged to bring their own kayaks.
Note: Kayaks, paddles, sprayskirts, and life jackets will be provided by the School, but students are welcome and encouraged to bring their own if desired.
