CREATING A WATERCOLOR JOURNAL

The simple pleasure of painting, sketching, and recording scenes and details from everyday life.

Watercolor journal photoWith pen, pencil, and watercolors, students will learn how to catch impressions simply and spontaneously, recording your work with a minimum of equipment. The week will include lots of time exploring the waters, nearby islands, shores, and mossy headland forests of the Eggemoggin Reach. Methods of identifying, painting, and sketching your observations will be included in the production of each day’s journal pages. This week promises to be a wonderful foray into color and our fascinating environment that shouldn’t be passed up by anyone interested in sketching and painting.

Tuition: $650

“The experience has been marvelous—great teachers, interesting people, beautiful area—what more could you ask for? A truly wonderful time. Thanks, and expect me back as soon as I can.”
