BECCA LEVI grew up sailing and exploring the shores of the Westport River and Buzzards Bay in Massachusetts. She is currently a PK-8 woodworking teacher at Dedham Country Day School and works as a deckhand on the schooner VALORA in the summers, in addition to sailing with her family on sailboats big and small. Her journey as a woodworker began at the Colorado College 3D Arts shop under mentor Andy Tirado, continuing on to work at the sculpture shop at Columbia University; in framing and finish carpentry in Newport, Rhode Island, for a small contractor; and doing odd jobs at the many farms she has worked on. Becca is passionate about woodworking as a tool for change. When not in the shop, she can be found sailing, rock climbing, hiking, or trail running.
